- Outdoor EducationWhat: Outdoor Education We will attempt to hike to the Tunnel. 3.7 miles. We can picnic by the river and if you plan on getting wet, bring a towel! It is supposed to be a gorgeous 70 degree sunny day! When: 11am-3pm Where: Steep Rock Preserve, Washington 2 Tunnel Road, Washington Depot https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/connecticut/pinney-loop-trail What to bring: • waterproof hiking shoes • water • lunch and snacks • bug spray • field notebook
- Outdoor EducationWhat: Outdoor Education When: 11am-3pm Where: Mine Hill Preserve, 6 Mine Hill Road, Roxbury, parking on Mine Hill Road off of Route 67 in Roxbury When you pull onto Mine Hill Road, continue past Mine Hill Distillery, go up the dirt road hill approx. 0.3 miles till you see the parking area for Roxbury Mines on the Right. Parents are responsible for coordinating transportation. Photographers, lots of great ruins to photograph here! Bring your cameras! What to bring: • dress in layers, spring time is warm and cold • wear waterproof boots/shoes • tick/bug repellant spray • pack a lunch and plenty of water • if you have allergies/asthma and are required to carry an epi-pen or inhaler, make sure you have it • your PMA( positive mental attitude), curiosity and open mindedness
- EventsAll events are on Saturday, May 24th at 19 Main Street, New Milford, CT. Seniors, please contact Mary about your cap and gown! Parents, if you would like to volunteer to assist with any of these events, we will put the time towards your work hours in advance of May 1st in anticipation of your assistance. Please email Mary(maryp@educationww.org) with the times you are able to help. This is a big day and many hands make both lite work and a wonderful day for the kids! For an idea of what to expect, check out the photos below. It is a great time and all done in one day! Please be in touch with any questions. These times are the definitive list. If any adjustments are necessary, those will be posted here. 9 am – 1 pm Gala Set Up (Volunteers Needed) 1 pm - 1:45pm Art Show/Fundraiser 1:45 pm – 5 pm Gala (RSVPs Required) Announcements, Awards Ceremony & Graduation. Seating is assigned. Guests will be seated at their tables at 1:45 pm. We will have a break at about 3:15 pm. There will be family style stationary hors d’oeuvres and family style desserts available for guests. A Photographer will also be on site to take photos, including family photos outside. 5 pm - 5:30 pm Photo Ops 5:30 pm – 7 pm Gala Clean Up/Set Up for Prom (Volunteers Needed for set up for and finger food donations) 7:30 PM - 8 pm Prom Photos 8 pm – 10:30 pm Prom (RSVPs Required) - Students may change at 65 Bridge Street, if they like. This event will have a DJ and food provided. Semi-formal attire. 10:30 pm – 11:30 pm Prom Clean Up (Volunteers Needed)
